Alright, I have a zc engine with a dc header. After installing the header i found that the DC header doesn't match up right with my OEM cat. It seems to be at a bind resulting in a huge exhaust leak. Hard to explain, anyone else have problems like this.

I plan on getting a new exhaust because my current pacesetter blows. I plan on getting an OBX bomb canister muffler and having an exhaust shop run it straight back to the cat with 2.25 inch piping.

    Any comments/suggestions?

Headers for the zc are a bit different that the headers for the stock civic engine. The headers you use are 4-2-1 two piece headers. FOr the top half, the part that bolts onto the engine, you use a 89 integra and a 88-91 civic lower piece. The reason, so you won't have to port match the headers and ports.

i think for a ZC 2.25 is good.

    2inch for stock si motor
    but 2.25 for ZC b16
    2.25 for a stock b18c 2.5 for a modded one
    2.5 for any turbo 1.6

I had a 2.25 in catback on my zc sedan and it was a lot better than the pea shooter I had on before it. 2 in just might be a bit too small for the zc. wink

the "pea shooter" size is 1.25-1.5"

I guess it's personal preference... I personaly feel better running 2" with my ZC... but I'm gonna have to get 2.25 when I get my Turbo on.

    Oh well no biggie...

    it's just my .02$

Unless you are going to run Turbo Don't go 2.25". 2" is a perfect size for a NA engine. I made the mistake on the Civic of gettin 2.25" piping and I actualy lost power. On my CRX I put 2" and Wow what a difference.

Bigger piping does give better flow But if also reduces backpressure not having enough back pressure reduces torque.

A turbo restrics the flow to provide the engine with backpressure that it needs that's why bigger piping is found on turbo cars.

    It's all about ballance.
